"Of course."

Ronglin looked at Kakashi's stunned expression with a faint smile and answered matter-of-factly, "That way, I can be assigned to a squad with the Advanced Class and have a teacher lead us on missions. Otherwise, I'd have to miserably squeeze into a squad like you. I don't want to get dirty looks."

"But, but..."

Kakashi immediately grew anxious. Didn't that mean he had waited an entire year for nothing?!

"But if you do that, you'll miss the Year-End Exam, and you'll fall behind by quite a few credits."

Kakashi had even brought up credits. At this moment, where was his usual cold demeanor?

In truth, Ronglin had driven Kakashi to desperation. He had lost rather inexplicably at the training ground, and though he kept issuing challenges, they were always refused. Just when the Year-End Exam was approaching and he thought they could finally fight, the other party had actually applied to graduate early. How could he not be anxious?

"There's nothing I can do about that. I don't want to squeeze into someone else's squad, and I don't want to wait another year or two to graduate with people from the same class. So I can only graduate early. As for the Year-End Exam, if I miss it, I miss it."

He sounded indifferent, but inside, Ronglin was already laughing himself silly. He had never expected Kakashi to have such an adorable side.

"Uchiha Ronglin."

Before Kakashi could continue, Bozhongye's arrival interrupted him. "I've already forwarded your application to Lord Hokage. Given your outstanding performance over the past year or so, it should be approved soon. However, you'll miss the Year-End Exam, so you need to be mentally prepared. After all, you'll be taking the exam alongside the Advanced Class. Don't put too much pressure on yourself."

After saying that, Bozhongye encouragingly patted Ronglin on the shoulder. His tone was filled with pride. His class had produced two geniuses, giving him plenty to brag about in front of the other teachers. Thus, he wholeheartedly supported Ronglin's decision to apply for early graduation.

"I'm really looking forward to it. I wonder which teacher's squad I'll be assigned to?"

Without looking at Kakashi's deeply resentful gaze, Ronglin leaned against his desk and muttered to himself. The seat beside him was empty; his former deskmate, Uchiha Obito, had already changed seats.

In his words, he simply did not want to sit with Kakashi.

Who told Kakashi to have certain privileges? Unable to swallow his anger, Obito had no choice but to ask the teacher to change his seat.

"Old man, don't go too far. I told you I want to rest for a while. I don't want to lead rookies."

Inside the Hokage's Office Building, Tsunade slapped the desk in dissatisfaction, venting her frustration. In all of Konoha, aside from Tsunade, there was no one else who dared to barge into the Hokage's Office, kick the door open, and slam the desk like this.

Facing Tsunade's desk-slapping and chair-kicking, the Third Hokage's expression did not change. With his pipe in his mouth, he calmly met Tsunade's furious gaze. "Because one little fellow from this class applied to graduate early and will be joining the Advanced Class, I chose you to lead him. Though Minato would be more suitable, he has other arrangements."

"Stop trying to fool me with that. Don't think I don't know what the graduates of this class are like. As for the younger batch, besides Kakashi, who else is worth paying attention to?"

Tsunade would not accept this troublesome task just because of a few words from the Third Hokage. In her eyes, leading rookies was a nuisance, especially when she was also serving as the head of the Medical Department.

"Uchiha Ronglin. Everyone has only noticed Hatake Kakashi, yet no one has noticed him, hidden beneath Kakashi's brilliance."

The Third Hokage opened the file and took a puff from his pipe, making Tsunade frown. She clearly disliked the smell.

"Excellent grades. Indeed, not bad."

Looking through Ronglin's file, Tsunade admitted that Ronglin's grades were very impressive. Not only were they better than those of his own class, they even surpassed the previous class's students. He could almost be compared to Kakashi.

"But even so, that's not enough reason for me to lead him, right? You know I'm very busy. The Medical Department..."

"Look at the next page," the Third Hokage said calmly.

Tsunade was puzzled, but she still turned to the second page of the file. After glancing over it, she revealed a somewhat shocked expression. "Is all of this true?"
