In full view of everyone, Capone blew the smoke from his gun, then slowly tucked it into his pocket and walked toward the people sprawled across the ground. His cold gaze passed over those he had killed in the crater as if they did not exist.
"Lord Jazz, my apologies. My men have caused you trouble." Capone stopped before Jazz, his indifferent eyes fixed on the man even shorter than himself. Though he used respectful language, Ronglin, standing among the crowd, could not hear even a trace of respect in Capone's tone.
The commotion around them died down. Apparently, the killer had been killed by someone else, so they no longer needed to run.
Jazz glanced at the people he had beaten until they rolled around the ground, wailing in pain, and asked, "What should we do with them?"
"They're new recruits I took in. They don't understand the rules, so there's no point keeping them." Capone spoke coldly. His subordinate Vite had already climbed out of the crater and stood behind Capone, offering Jazz a polite smile.
Jazz could not bear it and turned to look at those people. "Kill them?"
"They have tarnished the Star Alliance's reputation and must be punished. Otherwise, if we let everyone off the hook, who will follow the rules in the future?" Capone replied impassively.
Ronglin, in the crowd, was somewhat startled. Since when had Capone become so obedient and learned to follow the Star Alliance's rules?
"However," Capone changed his tone and said, "if Lord Jazz wishes to spare their lives, I will still obey your command."
