Madara’s war against the Five Great Shinobi Villages escalated as the Allied Forces faced White Zetsu, the Ten-Tails, and the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Black Zetsu revived Kaguya Otsutsuki, leaving Ronglin fighting her in a frozen world while dodging her deadly bone attacks.

  • Black Zetsu forced Nagato to revive Madara, who took Nagato’s Rinnegan and declared war on the Five Great Shinobi Villages.

Arc 49The Fourth Shinobi War Begins

Madara emerged after Nagato was manipulated into reviving him, then declared war on the Five Great Shinobi Villages. As the villages mobilized, Ronglin revealed Madara’s plan and the Five Kage sought to make him commander-in-chief of the Allied Forces.

  • Minato, White Fang, Jiraiya, and the Five Kage confronted Nagato, Konan, Obito, and Orochimaru, but Black Zetsu attacked Nagato and forced him to perform the resurrection technique.
  • Madara emerged, took Nagato’s Rinnegan, declared war on the Five Great Shinobi Villages, and demanded that Ay surrender Killer B.
  • Jiraiya buried Nagato and Yahiko while Konan vowed revenge, and Madara met Ronglin, who upheld their agreement despite warning that he could ruin Madara’s plan.
  • Ronglin explained Madara’s Infinite Tsukuyomi plan and the history behind the Uchiha and Senju conflict, while Minato and White Fang learned how Madara gained the Rinnegan and Wood Release.

Arc 50The White Zetsu Infiltration

Ronglin refused command of the Allied Shinobi Forces as the villages prepared for war, while Orochimaru and Akatsuki launched attacks with revived fighters and White Zetsu. After the Allies repelled several threats, White Zetsu infiltrators spread fear through the ranks, and the arc ended with a new assault breaking through their positions.

  • Ronglin declined to lead the Allied Forces, gave the Five Kage Black Rods for use against revived fighters, and watched them appoint Tsunade commander-in-chief and Ōnoki deputy.
  • Madara declared the Infinite Tsukuyomi Plan ready, while the Allied Shinobi Forces organized more than a hundred thousand fighters and Ronglin ordered the Uchiha to follow Tsunade.
  • White Zetsu attacked Kumogakure’s island, where Rasa’s defenders faced the revived Third Raikage and Hashirama Senju.
  • Minato used Ronglin’s Black Rods to disrupt and seal Hashirama, then helped Kakashi capture Deidara as the Allied Forces also sealed the Third Raikage.
  • Ronglin met Kurotsuchi away from the battlefield, and after their restaurant confrontation he repelled her with Shinra Tensei.
  • White Zetsu began killing Allied shinobi by disguising themselves as comrades, so Tsunade ordered troops to expose matching impostors and kill those who resisted.

Arc 51The Ten-Tails Awakens

The Allied Shinobi Forces used Killer Bee to expose the White Zetsu infiltrators, but Obito and Madara captured him and revived the Ten-Tails. Ronglin confronted the beast with the Tenseigan and appeared atop it, while the other shinobi watched from the battlefield.

  • Tsunade consulted the leaders about Ronglin’s warning that Killer Bee could expose the White Zetsu but might be captured by Akatsuki, and Ay eventually agreed to send him into battle.
  • Killer Bee identified the disguised White Zetsu, but Obito and the revived Jinchuriki attacked him, and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path emerged to capture him.
  • Minato and the other shinobi tried to protect Killer Bee, but Obito took him away, and Madara used the Gold and Silver Brothers’ Nine-Tails Chakra to complete the statue’s collection.
  • Ronglin brought the Nine-Tails to the battlefield and told Tsunade that Killer Bee was dead and the Ten-Tails was about to be revived.
  • The Ten-Tails burst from the statue and struck Madara and Obito with its tentacles, while Ronglin shielded his companions from its roar.
  • Ronglin used Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion to break apart the Ten-Tails’ Tailed Beast Ball, and his Rinne Sharingan transformed into the Tenseigan.

Arc 52Kaguya’s Revival

Ronglin absorbed the Ten-Tails’ Chakra and confronted Madara, allowing the Infinite Tsukuyomi to unfold so Black Zetsu could revive Kaguya Otsutsuki. He fought Kaguya across a frozen world, but her deadly bone attacks left him struggling to keep evading her.

  • Ronglin absorbed the Ten-Tails’ Chakra and destroyed its Tailed Beast Balls while the assembled fighters learned what the creature was.
  • Madara made himself the Ten-Tails’ Jinchuriki and battled Ronglin, but Ronglin matched his attacks and mocked his reliance on the beast.
  • Madara transformed the Ten-Tails into the Divine Tree and activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi, while Ronglin shielded Tsunade, the Nine-Tails, and the others with Susanoo.
  • Black Zetsu betrayed Madara, revealed that he had manipulated him and altered the Uchiha tablet, then used him to revive Kaguya Otsutsuki.
  • Kaguya Otsutsuki appeared and demanded the Nine-Tails, but Ronglin challenged her and followed her into a frozen world after she used Amenominaka.
  • Ronglin fought Kaguya with his complete-body Susanoo and the Power of Time, restraining her in a silver tornado that also wounded him.
  • Kaguya dispersed the tornado with an explosion, healed herself, and attacked Ronglin with deadly bone spurs as he dodged her blows through the ice.
