Background / History

The White Lotus Sect is a demonic organization listed among the Great Xuan Dynasty's most-wanted forces because it specializes in inciting rebellions. Its compartmentalized structure has allowed it to survive repeated suppression: even an elder responsible for a Qingzhou stronghold knew neither the envoy's identity nor how to contact other branches directly. 25 26

In Qingzhou, the sect maintained covert receiving points for military arms supplied by Zhao Feiying, deputy commander of the Qingzhou Army. A sect elder oversaw one such location, where stolen weapons were stored in a hidden cellar and periodically collected by a masked envoy. 26

The sect also cultivated influence within Qingzhou's administration. Its true disciple later exposed Ling Dingfan, the fifth-rank Tongzhi, and several lower-ranking officials as collaborators who provided information on government movements, troop deployments, household registration, and post-station affairs. 44

Following Zhao Feiying's capture, the Imperial Guard uncovered the sect's principal Qingzhou stronghold at Lijia Village, a settlement whose original residents had been killed or relocated and replaced by sect members posing as villagers. 38 39

A White Lotus Sect elder's capture exposed a long-running arms-smuggling arrangement with Zhao Feiying. The discovery of a hidden arms cache gave the Imperial Guard evidence to move against the Qingzhou Army's traitorous deputy commander. 25 26

During the confrontation at the military camp, the sect's masked envoy tried to recruit Su Fei and fought Commander Feng while Zhao Feiying attacked Su Fei. The envoy abandoned Zhao Feiying and escaped after the deputy commander was crippled. 27 28

Lijia Village Stronghold Raid

Under interrogation, Zhao Feiying revealed Lijia Village as the sect's true Qingzhou stronghold. Commander Feng and Long Teng surrounded the village with Imperial Guards and Qingzhou Army soldiers, preventing the cultists from escaping. 38 39

Qin Wushang led the sect's defense alongside the Four Demons of the Northern Region. Su Fei killed the Four Demons, defeated Qin Wushang after the envoy enhanced himself with a Life-Sacrificing Pill, and exposed an unnamed true disciple who had been concealed among the captured cultists. 40 41 42 43

Collapse of the Qingzhou Network

The true disciple's confession implicated Ling Dingfan and multiple Qingzhou officials. Imperial Guard arrests, executions, and the destruction of Lijia Village eliminated the sect's Qingzhou foundation. 44 46 47
