The iron sign hanging on the wall had already rusted. The crow depicted on it spread one wing halfway, its eyes slanting downward.

The candle flame was dim, casting one shadow after another onto the wall.

Around the dining table, the gray-robed apprentices sat together, discussing and studying.

This was the Hermetic Society's daily seminar, something akin to a self-study session.

Suddenly, the creak of the old wooden door opening startled everyone inside.

The apprentices looked up, only to see someone wearing a Crow mask hurrying in. In a voice tinged with excitement, he quickly announced, "Secret intelligence from the front line! Your Excellency Kirik launched a solo raid on the Fides Barracks and killed one priest and two holy knights in a single stroke!"

Lowering his voice, he added, "They were all important figures capable of summoning angels... Divine Descenders from the Temple!"

The tavern instantly erupted.

A tall, thin apprentice shot to his feet. "I knew Professor would make his move!"

After all these years, Roy's "true identity" was no longer a secret.

The others naturally knew who the "Your Excellency Kirik" in his report referred to, and they excitedly joined the discussion.

"Even if Angel Descent is used...

it's still no match for Professor!"

"Not only that. Afterward, he attacked another Pistis barracks and routed the combined army of Pistis and several other kingdoms!

The four Divine Descenders stationed there all fell at his hands as well!"

The apprentice in the Crow mask continued.

"Wow!"

Everyone was so excited that they grew even more spirited.
