Meanwhile, the Five Person Council discussed the Black Box’s players as Uesugi Tetsu reached a lake and began targeting a swarm of red ants beside a giant elephant.

• A level-eleven tiger recoiled from Uesugi Tetsu’s realistic eyeball form and fled, allowing him to absorb the elk’s eyes and rise to level four.
• Uesugi Tetsu ate the rest of the elk, reached level five, and chose the Twin Pupils advancement, gaining a second Thousand Eyes Pupil and stronger attributes.

• Uesugi Tetsu saw beams of light carrying people flee the material world and discovered that its edge had been cleanly severed by a terrifying sword intent he associated with the Sword Saint.
• Uesugi Tetsu moved nearby creatures beyond the material world’s path of descent, then stayed hidden as the world crashed into Everworld and released vast spiritual energy.
• Ye Chun, Ririko, and Erchi survived the landing, warned one another about the poisonous spiritual energy, and joined the other surviving Correct Ones in the ruins.
