Uesugi Tetsu told Ririko about his past with Imagawa Yoshimoto, then arranged with Ye Chun to hunt demons in a remote part of Everworld. He and Erzhi arrived at a desolate place filled with demons and discovered a corroded sign identifying it as the Yellow Springs secret grounds.
Uesugi Tetsu and Two-Shaku-Sama explored the Yellow Springs Hidden Land, where he slaughtered monsters for Soul Ash and completed the Heavenly Path of Asura. He discovered a Walker’s hidden chamber containing a damaged Garbara Bowl that could send its user to a designated era, but its use risked temporal and spatial displacement.
Uesugi Tetsu escaped a flesh secret realm by detonating himself, then returned to the real world as the Second Wave approached. He spent most of his Soul Ash gathering materials for Asura Brahma’s ascension, but his remaining pulls produced a hundred high-quality weapons instead.
Uesugi Tetsu completed Asura Brahma’s advancement into a four-star ghost god, gaining immense power and accepting the growing burden of karmic consequences. After leaving the Everworld, he headed to the Special Affairs Division, ready to speak candidly with Sister Nanjō.
Uesugi Tetsu visited the Hokkaido Special Affairs Division, donated more than a hundred weapons, and confronted Nanjō Emi about the Imperial Spirit Technique and the Nanjō Family. After Nanjō shared her longing for an ordinary, peaceful life, she shut down his attempt to discuss her family by teasing him about becoming her live-in son-in-law.
Uesugi Tetsu confronted Nanjō Emi about the Nanjō family, but she stopped him from learning the secret and revealed that she could not speak about it. After catching Tamamo secretly recording them and deleting the footage, Nanjō Emi turned her attention back to the moon as a woman in Everworld anticipated what was coming soon.
Uesugi Tetsu brought Huijue’s Garbara Bowl to Magatsu, who recognized the relic and warned him to keep the Yellow Springs Secret Realm hidden. Magatsu then explained that consuming humans could make ghosts and gods become wild gods far faster than the known paths.
Lord Magatsu explained how demon gods in the Yellow Springs Hidden Land became wild gods by consuming mortals, and warned Uesugi Tetsu not to enter the dangerous region until he earned her recognition. She gave him a token to summon an enemy into the Walker Assembly, just as the Second Wave began to appear.
Uesugi Tetsu warned the authorities that the Second Wave was approaching and helped trigger Sapporo’s evacuation. He then crossed into Everworld to track down Factory Master Z, where he confronted a giant eye that appeared to be an old acquaintance.
Uesugi Tetsu destroyed Factory Master Z’s eighty-nine factories, then returned to Sapporo to cultivate as the Second Wave began. Meanwhile, the Kisaragi Train carried a black-haired woman toward the mortal world, where she silently called for Little Che.
Imagawa Yoshimoto entered the living world in an avatar and visited the Imagawa Residence, where she saw the cherry tree before deciding to go to Hokkaido to find Uesugi Tetsu. As the Second Wave began, Tetsu received a mission to restrain Everworld’s encroachment and purge Eight Sufferings’ key incarnation, then set out with Ririko for the frontline.
Nanjō Emi explained the Boundary Land and its eight war zones to Chisa as the Second Wave offensive began. Uesugi Tetsu reached the hard-pressed Tokyo front and made a dramatic entrance on an Iron Throne summoned by his War Horn, reuniting with Minamoto Shizuka and the others as thunder gathered overhead.
Uesugi Tetsu arrived at the Tokyo front line, where he effortlessly destroyed monsters and stopped two Ghost God ambushes while reuniting with Minamoto Shizuka and the others. After learning the wider battle was holding, he sensed a familiar malice and prepared to tell Minamoto Shizuka about the Sufferings Incarnation; elsewhere, Imagawa Yoshimoto searched for his current address.
Uesugi Tetsu repelled the first fiend assault on his defense line, then coordinated with Minamoto Shizuka about the Eight Sufferings. Elsewhere, Ririko killed the Earthquake Catfish while Two-Shaku-Sama protected the survivors, and Imagawa Yoshimoto arrived in Sapporo with cherry blossoms and a message for Uesugi.
Irenno explained that he was pausing the story as graduation and the need to find work forced him to choose between his career and writing. He hoped to return to writing and promised that this book would connect to his next novel for a complete ending.
