Maher came to Monchi's side and quietly explained Muying's current condition. "...He's about to be unable to hold on. Once those demons are released, the consequences will be unthinkable."
Maher spoke for quite a while, only to discover that Monchi did not seem to be listening. Instead, he had sunk into thought alone.
"Lord Monchi?"
Monchi came back to himself. After pondering for a moment, he nodded at Maher. "In that case, bring out the Chaos Mana Cannon. Its activation time is rather long. Have Muying hold on a little longer."
Maher nodded. The Chaos Mana Cannon was, in fact, one of their trump cards. It came from the Research Institute of Sky Mechanical City and had been developed under Muse's leadership. Five years ago, Monchi had gone to the Research Institute and made a secret deal with Muse to obtain it.
The Chaos Mana Cannon was powerful enough to blast apart stretches of void. Even hiding in another dimension would not avert it.
However, it required roughly a minute to activate. Such a long delay was enough for an opponent to flee, so it was not usually useful. On the other hand, it was perfectly suited for the three demons bound by Puppet Theater.
Just as Maher was about to carry out the order, Monchi suddenly asked an unrelated question.
"Do you think Angel might be watching this place?"
Maher looked utterly baffled. He did not understand why Monchi had suddenly brought up Angel. Wasn't Angel's situation being handled by Samantha and Kant?
Maher had just opened his mouth, considering how to answer, when Monchi waved his staff. "Forget it. Go attend to your business."
After saying that, Monchi slowly paced over to Sanders, leaving Maher only with his back.
