Odecras had effectively joined Demon Illusion Island's allied front, giving them a powerful source of aid in the Abyss.
If they managed this relationship well, perhaps Demon Illusion Island's lineage could one day establish an exclusive safe zone within the range of the Lord of Ice Valley's deterrent influence.
Even without building a stronghold city, merely having a place to rest in the Abyss would already be excellent.
Sanders understood the value of this clearly. It was equivalent to breaking through the Abyss blockade lines of several major wizard alliances! For any wizard organization, this was an opportunity not to be missed!
