After returning to the Southern Region, Angel's state of mind visibly relaxed. Far from the shadow of the Abyss, the gloom that had weighed on his heart gradually faded away.
It was not only Angel. Even Sanders felt as though a weight had been lifted from his chest, and he could finally ask about the unpleasant matters from before.
"What was that black feather you took out earlier?" Sanders voiced the doubt that had long been buried in his heart. As he asked, Kant also turned a curious gaze toward Angel.
Angel took the black feather from his bracelet and placed it on the table.
Neither Sanders nor Kant picked it up to examine it. They merely observed it with their eyes and spiritual force tendrils. Yet after watching it for quite some time, they found nothing unusual. Sanders did recognize the nature of the black feather. "This is a crow feather? What is special about it?"
Angel said, "This is Kurangduo's feather. That demon seemed to recognize it."
"Kurangduo?" Sanders and Kant exchanged a glance, and a title immediately surfaced in their minds: Guide of Death.
Kurangduo's name was widely renowned among Abyss natives and Half-Blood Demons. Legend had it that anyone who saw him would die within days, which was why he was called the "Guide of Death."
However, Kurangduo generally only appeared in the written tales of the natives. No one had ever truly seen him. Or perhaps, everyone who had seen him was already dead.
Thus, Sanders and Kant had practically regarded Kurangduo as a legendary figure.
But Angel had suddenly said that this was Kurangduo's feather, leaving them greatly astonished.
"Is this really a feather from that Guide of Death?" "Have you seen Kurangduo?"
