This was because a familiar figure had appeared in the drawing.
Judging by her attire, it was Gloria again!
But upon closer inspection of the details in the picture, Sparrow Sparrow did not seem close to this Gloria. The colors and brushstrokes created an unfamiliar atmosphere.
"She was the real Lady Gloria, not the original personality sleeping within her," Angel said with certainty.
"Your judgment is correct." Sanders nodded as well. "By the dates, this drawing should have been from after Gloria left Demon Illusion Island. Sure enough, Gloria came to Black Castle back then."
Angel guessed that this was where things diverged.
He continued flipping through the pages. Gloria had merely come to see Sparrow Sparrow once before leaving.
Sparrow Sparrow spent another stretch of days recording time in writing. Among them, on the day after Gloria left, Sparrow Sparrow had written a vague sentence: Big sister was not big sister, but she seemed to know where big brother was?
This sentence also revealed Gloria's identity.
Gloria was Gloria, but she was not the Gloria who had given Sparrow Sparrow the Soul Pearl.
The days that followed passed one by one. Sparrow Sparrow no longer used drawings to record events, which meant that nothing major had happened during that period.
Going by the dates, Angel finally reached events from nearly two months ago around the sixtieth page.
The previous entries all recorded dates. When Angel turned another page, a different picture finally appeared. That faceless figure from before had appeared in the deep well again!
Though this time, the figure still had not done anything to Sparrow Sparrow, Sparrow Sparrow's brushstrokes were far more chaotic. The fear soaked through the page and struck straight at the eyes.
