His ash-green short curls were soaked through, sweat drenched his forehead, and his cheeks were deathly pale.
This was the sight Angel saw when he found Sanders.
Noticing Angel's arrival, Sanders finally cast a Cleansing Spell to wipe away the sweat on his brow.
"You're here?" Sanders summoned a chair and gestured for Angel to sit. "When are you planning to leave?"
"I may need to stay here a while longer." As Angel spoke, his gaze drifted toward the tabletop, where a glass bottle sat.
The bottle was completely empty, yet a familiar aura wafted from within it.
"Twisted Baworm?" Angel looked up at Sanders. Though nothing seemed amiss in Sanders' expression, his face remained pale. "Did you go to the Nightmare Realm, Mentor?"
Sanders lowered his eyes and nodded faintly. "Because of certain matters, I did make a trip there."
"Gloria's matter?"
Sanders nodded. "Yes. I used a Baworm contaminated with Gloria's soul power to go to the region of the Nightmare Realm where she lost her body. I wanted to locate that region again."
At this point, Sanders fell silent for a long while. His eyes were deep yet vacant, as though he were recalling something.
"What happened afterward?" Angel asked.
After coming back to himself, Sanders shook his head. "Afterward... I forgot."
Forgot? Seeing Angel's puzzled expression, Sanders said quietly, "I only remember that I seemed to arrive at a dark crossroads. What happened afterward was automatically sealed away from my memory. I can't remember anything."
