Angel's sudden voice brought everyone to a halt. They turned back, their faces full of confusion.
Frod stepped forward and pointed at the man Angel was watching. "You stay. Everyone else, leave first."
Once the others had left, only Angel and his group remained in the room, along with a man of about thirty.
The man looked utterly ordinary, though he had an air of sharp competence.
He seemed not to know what had happened either, and obvious unease showed on his face.
"My lord, did you discover something?" Frod asked Angel in a low voice. Sanders also looked over curiously. He had examined the man; he seemed to be an ordinary person, with nothing special about him.
Angel looked at him and shook his head. "I didn't discover anything. He just looks a little familiar."
Frod turned to examine the man. After a while, he seemed to recall something. "I remember now. He was the one who had the nerve to block your path when you came to Skyvault Tower last time, my lord."
At that, Angel remembered as well. When he had come to Skyvault Tower before, there had indeed been a minor incident. A staff member had suddenly stopped him, dropped to his knees, and muttered, "You are the master of the new world, aren't you? I beg for your forgiveness..."
Since it had only been an insignificant episode, Angel had not taken it to heart. Comparing them now, the person who had stopped him back then was precisely the man before him.
Frod continued, "Since he was quite capable at his job, after punishing him, I assigned him a new position as an investigator in the Strange Affairs Group."
"His name is Lisa, and he submitted today's report..." Frod trailed off abruptly, a trace of confusion
