"Since he's inside the black fog, what condition is he in now? Has the black fog affected him?" Frod asked.
If they could determine that the black fog had affected Lisa's younger brother, they might be able to infer the fog's function. That was Frod's thinking.
Angel pondered. "Something is wrong with him. From what I've observed so far, there's no light in his eyes. He seems to have lost his mind, wandering inside like a walking corpse. Yet no matter how he wanders, he never leaves the range of the black fog."
What Angel described was merely what he had observed on the surface. It was not yet enough to judge what effect the black fog roughly had based on that alone.
"In other words, you can observe what's happening inside the black fog?" Sanders asked. "Apart from Lisa's younger brother, is there anything else unusual inside? Can you determine where the black fog came from?"
Angel said, "Other than Lisa's younger brother, there does not seem to be anything else unusual within the black fog. As for its source, I found nothing."
Sanders pondered for a moment. There were roughly two pieces of information at present. First, the black fog's exact function was unknown, but judging by Lisa's younger brother's vacant state, it certainly had some kind of effect.
Second, the black fog was not under Angel's control. Taking that into account, if it was not an external invasion, then the black fog might be related to the dissipated authority.
Sanders said, "Let's set the other questions aside for now. What we need to determine is whether this black fog is truly connected to the dissipated authority."
