In Angel's mindscape, Dream Wilderness resembled a glowing Box Garden, floating in a dark, silent void. The authorities of the "Dream Gate" and the "Gatekeeper" had transformed into a sandbox within the Box Garden, while the "Authority Tree" had grown into a towering tree, rooted within the Box Garden, its green shade covering the entire sandbox earth.
A wind from nowhere swayed the branches overhead.
Angel's gaze was drawn to it as well.
There were no leaves upon the branching structure represented by the Authority Tree. Every sturdy, twisting branch bore authorities instead.
Originally, only three authorities had glowed upon its branches: Dream Gate, Gatekeeper, and Sin Mist. These three authorities represented the three powers currently active within Dream Wilderness.
But now, upon a new branch, an authority once veiled in shadow began to emit a dim glow.
At first, it was merely a faint glimmer like fireflies in the night. Its brightness gradually increased until it finally burst forth with radiant light. At the same time, the information of this authority, previously obscured, formally became a point of light upon the Authority Tree, shining in mutual splendor with the other three.
When Angel saw this, he did not examine the new authority's specific information. Instead, he opened his eyes and turned his gaze toward Sanders nearby.
The Authority Tree lighting up a new authority could only mean one thing: Sanders had successfully fused with it!
Sure enough, Sanders opened his eyes not long afterward.
The instant he opened them, a strange transformation suddenly arose throughout Dream Wilderness. It was like a drop falling onto a placid lake, ripples immediately spreading outward until they covered all of Dream Wilderness, only slowly coming to rest afterward.
When the ripples washed over Angel and stirred faint waves around him, he immediately understood
