In the end, Frod gave up.
As Frod gave up, the point of light representing authority drifted out of his body and vanished in an instant. Even Angel was given no chance to take it over.
Frod lay on the ground, looking as though he had been hollowed out. His face was ashen, his eyes lifeless and unfocused.
He was in an extremely poor state.
Frod himself had never imagined that one day, in the Dream Wilderness, he would suffer such worse-than-death agony through a Dream Realm avatar.
If he had held on for two more seconds, he would probably have been burst apart by that terrifying torrent of information, just as Sanders had said.
Even though he had given up now, he still felt miserable beyond measure.
"Are you all right?"
Hearing Angel's question, Frod used every ounce of strength in his body to barely say, "Let me... lie down a little longer."
While Frod remained on the ground recovering his strength, Angel turned to Sanders. "Mentor, what happened? Why couldn't Frod bear the authority? Was it because of the Lucky Scroll, or because Frod's true body is a soul?"
Though Frod lay motionless on the ground, his ears were still perked high, eager to know the reason.
"The fact that authority can resonate with Dream Realm residents means it has no necessary connection to what Frod's true body is in reality." Sanders paused. "His inability to bear the authority may have something to do with the Lucky Scroll, but that is not a major factor. At root, Frod is simply unsuitable."
Unsuitable meant that Frod was not qualified to bear this authority.
But why was he unsuitable?
Sanders did not immediately explain. Instead, he raised his head and looked toward the sky.
At that moment, a familiar fluctuation
