The man walked out of Azaz's room and casually shut the door behind him. Only then did he stroll leisurely toward them.
As the newcomer drew closer, a flicker of surprise flashed through Azaz's eyes.
Sebastian had said earlier that there was very likely someone in his room. Azaz had assumed he meant the woman who had stopped him before, never expecting it to be him... Angel.
Having spent so long in Sky Mechanical City, how could Azaz not know of Angel? But he had only ever heard tales of Angel from others before. This was the first time he had seen him in person, and what he had not expected was for Angel to walk out of his own room.
The moment he saw Angel, the strange incident from earlier also flashed through Azaz's mind.
Although Angel was most famous for his alchemy, he himself belonged to the illusion school. He had clearly gone downstairs earlier, yet he had ultimately appeared on the fourth floor again. Could it have been an illusion cast by Angel?
Azaz could not help recalling the "creak" of a door opening that he had heard earlier.
