Angel did not refuse Kant's request, but neither did he make any promises.
He merely said, "I'll go to the Research Institute later and see what the situation is. I'll do my best to try."
Kant said gratefully, "Then I'll have to trouble you. I originally came to thank you, but now I'm asking you for a favor again."
As they spoke, a clacking sound came from outside the hall. Before long, Butler No. 1 lifted the drapes and flew in from outside.
"Master, a guest outside wishes to see you." Butler No. 1 spoke in a metallic voice.
"A guest?" Everyone instinctively turned their gazes toward the outside of the manor.
From Angel's perspective, the visitor outside the manor was a woman. She wore a pure white, gold-trimmed gown that, at first glance, somewhat resembled a priestess's robe.
The woman had a voluptuous figure and a beautiful face. Her long golden hair spilled loosely around her, lending her both a sultry charm and an air of languid indolence.
However, what was worth noting was a pale golden scale in the center of her exposed collarbone.
That scale continuously emanated a faint oceanic aura.
As everyone examined her, she seemed to notice their gazes as well. She brushed back her long hair and smiled enchantingly.
"Why is she here?" Kant's voice pulled everyone back from their thoughts.
"Is she Sang Ye?" Angel voiced the doubt in his heart. Although he had never met Sang Ye, that fish scale meant she was very likely from Deep Sea Song. The fact that she could detect their gazes also meant her strength was at least at the level of a formal wizard.
Kant had mentioned Sang Ye not long ago, so Angel naturally thought first of this witch known as the "Golden Umbrella."
