Spatial rifts that appeared out of thin air like this were basically never naturally formed, but opened by an external force.

Toby had been having too much fun, and with the lingering aura of the energy vortex from his breakthrough all around him, he had not sensed the spatial rift. But Angel and the others, far off on the other side, had seen it clearly.

"Should we warn Toby?" Angel asked.

Sanders looked into the distance. The instant the spatial rift formed, he had already sensed where it came from, as well as those arriving beyond it.

A flicker passed through his eyes. "An interesting group has arrived."

An interesting group? Angel did not understand what Sanders meant.

Sanders offered no explanation. Instead, he slowly removed his glove, lightly crossed his long middle finger and thumb, and with a snap, a great number of illusion nodes formed out of thin air around them.

The moment the nodes appeared, they vanished at tremendous speed. Along with them, Angel and the others' traces vanished as well.

"A Concealment Illusion?" Angel recognized the illusion concealing them at once, but he did not understand Sanders' intent. Why hide themselves? Was it because of the newcomers?

And who were these newcomers?

"Keep watching, and you'll know." Sanders still did not explain, maintaining an unruffled air.
