Puppet Hospital had been converted from an abandoned stone-processing factory. Once inside, broken stones could be seen everywhere—some were unpolished raw stone, while others had already been processed. Angel moved through the hospital and soon followed Lord Rhein into a small three-story building.

Along the long, chilling corridor were many rooms sealed off by iron mesh. Through the mesh, they could see that each room held imprisoned patients afflicted with madness.

Most of these patients neither spoke nor moved, sitting blankly on iron beds. They looked like ordinary people lost in thought.

Only when they heard footsteps in the corridor and turned toward the sound did their abnormality become apparent.

Every one of them wore a different expression—some vacant, some crazed, some bizarre, some innocent. Like actors in a stage play, they displayed a multitude of faces.

With eyes steeped in strange emotions, they stared fixedly at the people in the corridor.

"Their ability to capture information has not diminished in the slightest because of the infection. Moreover, their sensitivity to sound and perception of heat are beyond anything ordinary people could achieve, as if they had gained some kind of supernatural perception out of thin air."

Rhein, walking at the front, spoke as he lightly tapped the floor with his cane.
