Angel nodded to Sanders, then closed his eyes. His thoughts drifted like falling dust, slowly sinking into tranquil darkness.
Within Angel's mental space, a great tree stood in the dark void, its branches gently raised. Countless points of light, some bright and some dim, floated with the swaying branches.
This was the Authority Tree—the absolute core Authority of the Dream Wilderness!
Upon this Authority Tree, the glowing points represented Authorities that had already been activated; the slightly dimmer points were Authorities that existed within the main body of the Nightmare Domain but had yet to be borne.
Before today, there had been five glowing points on the Authority Tree. They were Angel's "Dream Gate" and "Gatekeeper," Sanders's "Energy-Level Restriction," and the dispersed "Sin Mist" and "Celestial Change."
Yet now, as Angel's thoughts sank into this place, a dim point of light at the center of the Authority Tree was rapidly brightening at a visible speed!
Without question, this was the Authority that had just dispersed.
Angel quietly waited for the point of light to transform. The moment it became completely bright would be the moment the Authority activated.
The wait was not long. In less than two seconds, the point began to gleam with dazzling light.
Had a human been the one to bear this Authority, let alone activate it, merely digesting it would likely have taken several days. Yet when returned to the Dream Wilderness itself for digestion, it could be completely digested in an instant, and the Authority would manifest within seconds.
As the point of light flashed and the Authority opened, Angel focused his attention on it as well.
