Even now, they still did not understand why, after the Nightmare Realm creatures arrived at Pamiji Plateau, they had not continued to corrupt deeper into the plateau, instead gathering entirely within this ruin.
At first, they had thought the Nightmare Realm creatures were simply using the ruin as a stronghold. Yet after occupying it, they had not expanded outward, which did not fit the very purpose of a stronghold.
Now that Sanders had raised the possibility that the Nightmare Realm creatures did not intend to use this ruin as a stronghold at all, but were instead trying to repair some native object within it, it truly made sense.
"Whether or not the thing they are repairing is truly native to the ruin, one thing is certain: whatever the Nightmare Realm creatures wish to repair must now be inside the ruin." Rhein spoke as well. "What we need to consider now is this: what exactly are they repairing? And what consequences will this repaired object bring?"
The Tree Spirit sighed. "If we want to know what they are repairing, we will probably have to venture deep into the ruin."
But entering the ruin was difficult now. It was filled with terrifying Nightmare Realm creatures, and coupled with the ruin's own strangeness, almost everyone who entered vanished without a trace.
"How about letting..." The Tree Spirit turned his gaze toward Angel. "Let him stay at the ruin for a while. If Nightmare Realm creatures appear inside, have him directly sense their emotions."
The Tree Spirit did not call Angel by name, because Iron Armor Granny and Wallace were both watching them. Even though Angel's identity had more or less been guessed openly, as long as Angel had not torn away that outer shell himself, the Tree Spirit would not take the initiative
