Angel immediately followed, but as he passed the Spherical Demon's remains, his brow furrowed slightly. He saw a mangled mass of tentacles on the ground, likely one of the tentacles that had wound around the Spherical Demon.
The tentacles did not move. They were already dead matter. But what puzzled him was why these tentacles had not been devoured by the darkness.
Just as Angel was pondering this, another surge of energy appeared ahead. Looking up, he saw another twisted Spherical Demon not far away.
Without surprise, Rhein effortlessly killed the Spherical Demon in an instant once more.
Angel deliberately watched the Spherical Demon's remains. They truly differed from those of the other Demonic Beasts. The Spherical Demon's corpse was not devoured by the darkness; even the green slime within it showed no sign of vanishing.
