The shattered Void Traveler had turned into countless gelatinous blobs, spread around the narrow passage.
"Alas." Iron Armor Granny sighed. "Void Travelers aren't so easy to come by. Since we caught one alive, we could have used it for research."
When Rhein had entered this passage before, he had encountered Void Travelers. The fact that those Void Travelers had managed to escape right under Rhein's nose showed just how formidable their ability to flee was. Such a strange void creature had been captured alive with great difficulty, yet Sanders had crushed it.
Moreover, Sanders had been somewhat wrong to label the Void Traveler the "source of disaster." Aside from being able to run, Void Travelers were exceedingly weak. They could not harm even apprentices, much less Angel.
The one that had ultimately taken Angel away was still the creature behind the wall. As for whether this Void Traveler had been instructed to do so or had merely passed by, that was difficult to say. It could not truly be assigned the blame as the source of disaster.
"Other than running, this thing has no redeeming qualities. Dead is dead." Sanders' expression was icy. "Granny, can you sense the aura of the Demonic Beast that took Angel away earlier?"
Sanders clearly understood that the Void Traveler was not the true culprit. He had killed it purely to vent his frustration. Once he had let out his anger, his gaze returned to the wall.
Iron Armor Granny reached out and touched the stone wall, closing her eyes quietly as though sensing something.
After a long while, Iron Armor Granny opened her eyes. "Nothing behind the wall can be sensed. It is probably an inherent property of the ruins. The only aura lingering nearby is Angel's. There are no other auras."
"Granny, do
