After leaving the bounds of the Star Pool Ruins, Angel used his transformation technique again, taking on the appearance of a redhead.
Along the way, the Tree Spirit repeatedly wanted to ask what Angel had experienced within the ruins, but in the end, he suppressed his curiosity and said nothing. He merely studied the conspicuous foreign object on Angel's body—the mushroom ornaments—and researched them all the way back to the ruins where Angel lived.
When he pushed open the ruins' main gate, Angel deliberately glanced at the magical energy array behind it before stepping into the pitch-black corridor.
Sanders and the Tree Spirit both caught that moment. Their gazes flickered as the same thought rose in their minds: the only route for Angel to leave the ruins had to pass through that gate. Did that mean Angel had already seen what lay behind the gate of the Star Pool Ruins?
