"Words alone probably won't let you grasp all its mysteries. I happened to bring the initial version of the Mother Tree Interlink with me, so why don't you try it out?" Jon opened a crimsonwood drawer and took out a small box.
When the box was opened, a very thin black disc appeared before them.
"This is the initial version of the Mother Tree Interlink." Jon took out the disc and introduced it. "It was polished from stone, so its appearance is still rather crude. I was planning to seriously consider its design only for the upgraded or first-generation version, so I could give you a more complete introduction then. But the world is unpredictable. Since it was leaked ahead of time, there's nothing I can do. You'll just have to make do with this for now."
"Anyway, it will definitely become lighter and more convenient in the future. The material will also change from stone to something else, such as glass or ceramic."
As Jon spoke, he rapidly tapped the disc, seemingly operating something. Yet in Angel and Sanders's eyes, there was nothing on the disc made of black stone—only a pitch-black surface.
"Since entering the Mother Tree Network requires the power of self-awareness, you can't see anything on it. But from my perspective, the page content has already appeared." As Jon spoke, he continued tapping the disc. Only after quite a while did he set it down and hand it to Sanders.
"Give it a try."
When Sanders received the disc, he first froze for a moment. Then, after hesitating briefly, he imitated Jon and tapped it. As his fingertip touched the disc, a subtle change clearly appeared in his previously puzzled gaze.
For the next ten minutes, Sanders said nothing, tapping the disc from time to time.
