"Are you sure?" Angel's voice sounded through the Mind Tether, tinged with surprise.
"I'm sure." Nis spoke with absolute certainty. "If you don't believe me, go take a look yourself. There's a mark at its very bottom."
Angel hesitated for a moment, then raised his head to look at the mist above.
The fog still churned and rolled, and through it, he could vaguely make out the massive silhouette of the laboratory in the sky.
From Angel's perspective, the laboratory no longer resembled a "building" at all. It was now a rounded "torso," with countless external corridors forming "steel tentacles." It looked like an enormous spider-shaped mechanical beast.
As the steel tentacles continuously lashed out at the Shiz juvenile bound by the black shadow, they swept aside the surrounding fog and clouds, making its shape clearly visible.
Angel's gaze slowly moved down from the laboratory's outer shell to its "abdomen." Normally, this area was buried in the deepest reaches underground and could not be seen at all. But now that it had flown into the air, the structure of its abdomen was clearly visible.
It was a flat metal surface. At the very center of it was something like a round manhole cover.
And on that cover, two distinct numbers had been painted in striking scarlet.
