Sanders said nothing as they flew alongside each other in silence for over a dozen miles.
Seeing that Ghost Shipyard Island was already far behind them, Angel thought for a moment before taking the initiative. "Mentor, is there something you want to ask me?"
Sanders gave Angel a cool glance. "The reason you went back wasn't specifically to watch disorder come into being, was it?"
"As expected, Mentor understands me best."
Angel's answer already proved that Sanders's guess had been correct.
Sanders stopped, hovering in midair. "I believe you had a reason you absolutely had to return. But I still hope you understand one thing."
"What is it?" Angel stopped as well and looked back.
"Everything in this world, including the things you think are important, is not as precious as life." Sanders paused. "Only when you are alive do you possess everything. Once you die, all things come to an end."
Angel understood why Sanders was saying this.
From beginning to end, Sanders had not stopped him. Perhaps that was one of his values in dealing with interpersonal relationships, but it did not mean Sanders truly supported every choice Angel made.
