Black Earl: "..." What did he mean, just hearing Dox's name got his blood boiling? Why did that sentence sound so strange...?
Angel: "How about we put this exploration on hold and talk about it next time?"
That was what Angel said, but his eyes were fixed on Black Earl's... nostrils.
How could Black Earl fail to see through Angel's little trick? Angel merely thought he had revealed too little information, so he deliberately said that. If Black Earl had truly wanted to put it on hold, he would have done so at Sandworm Market instead of waiting until they reached Bilen Tree Court.
Black Earl snorted. "Although I detest Sanders, there is one thing about him I appreciate. He speaks plainly and does not beat around the bush, unlike Rhein, who makes me guess every meaning he wants to convey. You had better not learn from Rhein. If my hand were here, I would definitely slap you."
Black Earl's words were harsh, but they were only words. Even without his hand here, striking Angel would still not have been difficult.
Angel paid no mind to Black Earl's harsh words and smiled. "I merely think that since even Your Excellency's blood is boiling, this expedition must contain some unspeakable strangeness.
