Angel did not speak. He simply fell silent.
Black Earl assumed Angel was weighing the pros and cons and did not mind, giving him time to consider.
After a while, Angel said softly, "My lord needn't probe me. What information could I possibly know about the Noah Clan? I merely heard a few little tidbits of gossip. They will have no effect whatsoever on this exploration."
What Angel said was most likely true. If it really could have an impact, he would not have agreed to let members of the Noah Clan come along. As for setting a trap? Impossible. Their arrival had been entirely accidental. Besides, with Angel's current strength, even if it were not a malicious trap, his intuition would easily detect it.
Still, even if Angel knew only insignificant information, Black Earl very much wanted to know it.
After all, that demon cultist had explicitly recorded that mysterious ancestor of the Noah Clan on the tabletop. Perhaps what Angel knew was related to that person?
"Are you sure you do not want to know how Sanders managed to create a mobile illusion realm? If all you heard was trivial gossip, then you would not lose out by exchanging it for this secret."
Angel still shook his head. "No need. Even if my lord does not tell me, I can probably guess the truth of this secret."
Earlier, Angel had fallen silent for a time. Black Earl had thought he was merely considering whether to make the exchange. In truth, however, Angel had been pondering the so-called "secret" Black Earl had mentioned.
Although Black Earl had not revealed anything about this secret, Angel knew Sanders remarkably well.
There had to be a reason Sanders had never taught him mobile illusion realms, or even brought them up on his
