Angel said, "I have one final question... or rather than a question, it's a personal request."
Laplace raised a brow and stared at Angel. "A request?"
Angel said, "You previously mentioned that if a living person entered the world within the mirrors without a guide, they would inevitably lose their way."
Laplace nodded. "Yes, I did say that."
Angel said, "I'm rather interested in the world within the mirrors. Perhaps in the future, I may conduct some research centered on it. When that time comes, could I invite Laplace to be my guide?"
Angel had already thought it through. If Laplace agreed, that would count as a request. In return, he would tell her the second "answer."
The first answer was undoubtedly Blood Night's Shelter; as for the second, Angel had already decided on it as well—it would be... the Dream Wilderness.
Laplace did not feel like a creature with complicated thoughts. Moreover, she lived in isolation and slumbered year-round, perfectly meeting the conditions of the Dream Wilderness.
It could be said that this would both expand the Dream Wilderness's "talent pool" and make it easier for Angel to use the authority of the Dream Wilderness to place a tracking mark on Laplace.
Angel's thoughts had traveled far, but Laplace had no intention of playing along.
Laplace said blandly, "So this is your final question... no, request?"
Angel nodded. Though he still had quite a few questions in his heart, most of them, like this one, were purely to satisfy his own selfish desires.
Such questions would have been fine during a private chat or a gathering like a tea party. But now, wasting everyone's time merely to satisfy his own curiosity was not worth it.
Laplace said, "No."
Laplace refused without the slightest hesitation.
