Memory Forest?
Angel looked bewildered. He recognized every character, yet when they were put together, he could not understand them.
Laplace said, "When you previously said you wanted to borrow something from me, you mentioned one condition: you hoped that thing would have some connection to the will of the Mirror World."
Angel nodded. He had indeed listed four conditions back then, and this had been one of them. In the end, what Laplace had lent him was the current—Shed Scale.
"Actually, when you raised that condition, the first thing that came to mind was the Memory Forest. Because it was a gift bestowed upon me by the will of the Mirror World."
In other words, the Memory Forest was an embodiment of the Mirror World's will.
"The reason I ultimately did not choose the Memory Forest was because it had no offensive capabilities and did not meet the fourth condition you proposed."
From Laplace's words, Angel roughly understood what she meant. The "Memory Forest" ought to have been a physical object. Back then, she had made her choice between two "items": the Shed Scale and the Memory Forest. But in the end, after weighing Angel's four conditions, she had abandoned the Memory Forest and chosen the Shed Scale.
But since she had given up the Memory Forest back then, why bring it up again now? And hadn't Laplace said that the Memory Forest had no offensive capabilities? Why was she now going to use the Memory Forest to deal with the Spider Monsters?
And most importantly, the greatest question in Angel's heart: what exactly was the Memory Forest? Why did Laplace say it was a gift granted by the Mirror World?
"The Memory Forest is an evolution of world rules. If we compare it to the abilities of your
