After bidding Goss farewell, Angel and the others did not linger, leaving Hot Gold City directly.
They said nothing along the way. Only after returning to the Mirror Corridor did Laplace speak. "What's wrong with you?"
Angel shook his head lightly. "Nothing."
Laplace gave a soft snort and did not respond. Instead, she looked at Rabbit Girl beside her. "You noticed it too, didn't you?"
Rabbit Girl hesitated for a moment before saying timidly, "A-Angel's brow seemed like it never relaxed after he got that mirror."
Laplace looked at Angel without speaking, but her gaze was perfectly clear: What do you have to say now?
After a moment of silence, Angel said, "That mirror just now was an alchemy tool."
Laplace said, "I could tell. But it shouldn't have been a particularly high-grade alchemy tool."
Angel nodded. "Its grade wasn't high, but its function cannot be measured by grade."
Laplace asked, "What do you mean?"
Angel looked at the road ahead and pondered. "Let's talk as we walk."
Angel said that, but for the next several minutes, aside from following along, he remained completely silent. Laplace did not urge him, either. If Angel did not want to speak, she did not care.
Just as they faced one another in silence, Rabbit Girl suddenly spoke. "We're about to pass Grudge Woman Town."
When Rabbit Girl said "Grudge Woman Town," her voice visibly trembled. The unusual tone interrupted Angel's thoughts, and he looked down in puzzlement.
By then, they had long since left the Undying Mirror Sea and returned to the pitch-black void of the Mirror Realm.
Boundless emptiness stretched before and behind them, silent and desolate. Apart from mirrors occasionally appearing and vanishing, this place resembled a realm of death.
Yet amid that vast, boundless dead realm stood an ink-black Dome
