The outskirts of Deep Abyss Cave.

In one corner of the pitch-black void, a fist-sized fluorite floated in the air, emitting a cold, faint glow.

However, the light only covered an area of two or three meters. Beyond that, all light was swallowed by an unknown darkness.

"The light isn't being suppressed by the darkness. It's simply vanishing, as though space itself has twisted." Angel looked into the darkness ahead. "But I can't sense any spatial energy fluctuations... How strange."

Laplace said, "That is the nature of Deep Abyss Cave. It devours all light. As for the spatial fluctuations you mentioned, they do exist, but they are inside Deep Abyss Cave, not outside it."

"What exactly is inside Deep Abyss Cave?"

Angel still remembered Laplace saying that she had entered Deep Abyss Cave before. Yet she had never elaborated on what it was like inside.

Laplace shook her head. "It's difficult for me to describe. It is dark inside as well, but that darkness is different from the darkness outside. It felt as though I wasn't in the current space, but somewhere much farther away."

"Anyway, it isn't a ghostly domain. At the very least, I encountered no danger inside."

Angel murmured softly, "A Deep Abyss Cave with no danger?"

Was there truly no danger?

Perhaps it was only that Laplace had not considered it dangerous...

Angel found it hard to believe that a "phenomenon" with such a vast range posed no danger at all and existed merely to absorb light. Besides, Deep Abyss Cave lay beyond the psychological boundary of mirror creatures. It was usually pitch-black here, with no light source for it to absorb.

Laplace asked, "Are you interested in Deep Abyss Cave?"

Angel shook his head. He was not particularly interested; he was merely a little curious
