Angel pondered Aguro's matter as he followed Laplace swiftly through the Mirror Corridor.
After roughly fifteen minutes, Laplace came to a stop.
They were now within the Undying Mirror Sea, brilliant as a galaxy. Not far beneath their feet lay the Dome of Hot Gold City.
Wolf Fang. Flute Bone saw Hot Gold City as well, and his eyes lit up at once. He began urging everyone to hurry inside. Better yet, they should ignore Little Scale; before Little Scale arrived, they should quickly get their business done, then each go off and have fun. As for what business they had to handle, Wolf Fang. Flute Bone had forgotten too. He only remembered that they must not let Little Scale come.
From Wolf Fang. Flute Bone's rambling, it was clear that Little Scale usually kept his movements in check. As the teacher, he felt that made him lose face, and so he developed a rebellious streak.
To put it plainly, he refused to admit he was old, and had become an old child—the older he got, the less he acknowledged his age; the older he got, the more rebellious and tsundere he became.
But having come this far, Laplace naturally would not listen to Wolf Fang. Flute Bone. Her response was to ignore him completely. This angered Wolf Fang. Flute Bone so much that he folded his arms and squatted off to the side, stewing in silence.
After about five minutes, Laplace suddenly extended a hand. In the direction of her finger, the Mirror Corridor rapidly stretched outward.
Before long, it had extended several hundred meters.
Just as Angel wondered what Laplace was doing, ripples stirred at the end of the Mirror Corridor, and space warped slightly. Then, two figures emerged from the ripples one after the other.
