Angel coughed softly twice.
In this Instance, where most of space and time had come to a standstill, the sudden sound of coughing gave Luigi a fright. But he quickly realized where it had come from.
"Angel?" Luigi asked in a low voice.
Angel said, "It's me. Lady Laplace is beside me too, watching you."
Luigi scratched his head. "Why are you here again?"
Again? Angel said, "What? From the sound of it, you don't want us here?"
Luigi sighed and plopped down onto the dusty ground. "That's not what I mean. It's just, with you watching me, I'm a little embarrassed to start the main quest again."
Angel still remembered that when they had come last time, Luigi had not had this mindset. Now that he had suddenly become so bashful, it could only mean that his thoughts had undergone an earth-shaking change during this period.
As for where that change had come from? Angel silently glanced at Laplace.
Laplace said blandly, "He feels ashamed."
Angel faithfully relayed those words to Luigi.
A rare look of embarrassment appeared on Luigi's face. "It is pretty humiliating. I obviously feel like this challenge isn't difficult, but for some reason, I make no progress every time. I've restarted ten times already. At first, I was brimming with confidence, but now I'm a little lost."
Restarting the main quest ten times was not actually that much. If he kept looping without resting in between, Luigi could have restarted it over a hundred times by now.
The reason it had only been ten times was purely because Luigi reflected on himself after every failure.
At first, his self-reflections had only been about his own shortcomings. But later on, his failures began to shake his confidence as well, causing his reflection periods to drag on
