Laplace recounted some of the memories she had seen in the Empty Mirror Sea.

Among them, she focused on "one person, one beast, and half a city."

The so-called "one person" referred to a wizard suspected of wielding time-related powers.

From the perspective of the recorded image, it seemed to have come from a curtain of water hanging in the sky—a scene reflected within it.

The curtain of water might have been some kind of water-element Dome, or perhaps a Sea of Sky. Because of the angle, it was impossible to see exactly what it was. However, the scene on the ground reflected in the water curtain could be clearly seen.

On the ground, there was a witch in an iridescent cloak. She moved swiftly through the treetops, rapidly crossing a forest.

Yet her movement was not the kind of displacement people ordinarily saw, but a strange form of shifting.

Before every great stride she took, two phantoms would appear ahead of her.

For instance, if she wanted to reach a treetop five hundred meters away, a rainbow phantom A would first appear at the destination. This phantom A remained perfectly still.

After phantom A appeared, another rainbow phantom B would emerge midway between phantom A and her actual body, around two hundred and fifty meters away. Although phantom B also remained in place, it was animated, as though it were running.

Shortly after the two phantoms appeared, the cloaked witch would teleport from where she stood to phantom A's location.

Once the cloaked witch reached her destination, both phantoms disappeared.

Looking at that shift alone, Angel could not see anything unusual. But Laplace was certain that this was a kind of time-related ability.

It appeared to be space-type teleportation, but in truth, it was an application of time-related power.
