Angel silently marveled at the magic of fishing, then turned and stepped out through the mirror surface, returning to reality.
After returning to the quiet room, Angel sat at his desk, took out pen, ink, and the notebook where he recorded his observations, and copied down, one by one, some of the time-related memories Laplace had mentioned earlier.
He was both making a record and using it to sort out his thoughts.
The power of the time system had merely lifted a corner of the curtain. The scenery he had glimpsed might not even amount to one ten-thousandth of it, leaving him filled with curiosity as well as awe.
After copying everything down, Angel sat in the deep quiet room with his eyes closed in contemplation for a full half hour, allowing his restless heart to settle once more.
After meditating for a while longer, Angel finally entered the Dream Wilderness.
