After saying goodbye to Laplace, Angel located the Inspector and prepared to meet him.

Angel could have spoken to the Inspector through Tree Chat, but after some thought, he decided it would be more respectful to meet someone of the Inspector's stature in person.

After logging out and back in, Angel found himself outside Firstheart City's Ocean Grand Theater.

According to the location marker, the Inspector was inside.

The theater was Jon's regular haunt. Had the Inspector come to see him? Yet when Angel had checked from his god's-eye view, Jon and the Inspector had not appeared to interact. The Inspector was in the theater lobby, while Jon was in an office backstage.

Puzzled, Angel took out his communicator and greeted the Inspector rather than asking him directly.

The Inspector: "You want to come over? Of course. I'm at the Ocean Theater in Firstheart City. Shall we meet here?"

Angel replied, "All right," then waited roughly two minutes outside the entrance before going in. After all, the Inspector did not know Angel could pinpoint his location, and Angel intended to keep it that way.

He pushed open the theater doors. Inside, it was dim. Only the wall lamps near the stage were lit; almost all the other light came from starlight and moonlight spilling through the windows.

The stage was empty. A lone figure sat in the front row.

It was the Inspector.

Angel approached him and gave a slight bow in response to his kindly smile.

"You're here? Sit beside me." The Inspector smiled. "I wanted to meet and talk with you too, but I saw on Tree Chat that you'd gone into the ruins to hide from the Budding Believers, so I didn't invite you outright."

Angel was speechless. He had only been sent away on an alchemy
