There was one more thing that concerned Laplace.
What about the blessing's effect?
Wasn't the blessing supposed to make food taste better? Why had it instead become so foul-smelling?
Laplace was not the only one with that doubt. Luigi could not help asking, "How did this happen? What about the blessing's effect?"
Angel answered calmly, "The blessing effect simply did not activate."
"It didn't activate?" Luigi was full of confusion. Why?
"There is no need to be surprised." Angel explained without so much as a blush or a racing heartbeat, "There was a tiny error while constructing the mental model just now, and there was also a delay of 0.1 seconds when outputting energy."
"In short, it failed."
Angel emphasized, "The spellcasting failed, not the food-making."
Hearing this, Luigi roughly understood. Angel's spellcasting had failed, so the blessing effect had not activated. That did make sense.
Moreover, Angel was an illusion-type wizard. There was a chance of failure when using abilities from the food-related branch across disciplines. That also made sense.
The only thing that puzzled Luigi was that, if he remembered correctly, Magic Bread was merely a Magical Trick, wasn't it? In other words, a level-zero trick... Even with a somewhat looser classification, it could only be a level-one trick at most.
Angel was a formal wizard. Could he fail even when casting a level-one trick? It was not some time-type trick... Besides, there were no time-type tricks that low-level.
Though doubts kept piling up in Luigi's heart, he still nodded to Angel in front of the others. "I understand."
After a pause, Luigi continued, "Then do you want to try again now?"
Angel fell silent for a moment. With a flip of his hand, an exquisitely designed box was lifted out by a pale-blue Magic Hand.
"Let's continue.
