"Although I didn't know whether the legend recorded on the stone slab was true, I once wondered: if it was true, where would the Mysterious Forest Spirit be?"
Laplace paused here and looked at Angel. "Forest spirits are a collective. And if the Mysterious Forest Spirit truly exists, then it must be a collection of all kinds of mysterious phenomena."
"If one mysterious phenomenon corresponds to one mysterious item, that means the Mysterious Forest Spirit contains at least multiple mysterious items."
"Multiple mysterious items appearing in one place at the same time." Laplace said, "In my memory, aside from the treasuries of major organizations, there was only one place where that could happen..."
"The Nightmare Realm."
After voicing her speculation, Laplace said no more. She knew very well that Angel and the Nightmare Realm likely had some kind of connection. Perhaps Angel's identity was similar to a "Mirror Traveler," except he was a wanderer of the Nightmare Realm?
Laplace had many guesses concerning Angel and the Nightmare Realm, but those guesses would remain in her heart. She would not raise them on her own initiative.
Being considerate of each other and not prying into private matters was also the respect friends gave one another.
Now that the Nightmare Realm had been mentioned, pursuing the subject further would likely turn into probing Angel's privacy. So Laplace stopped at just the right point.
On the other side, a flicker of understanding crossed Angel's eyes.
In truth, halfway through Laplace's explanation, his own thoughts had already begun heading toward the "Nightmare Realm."
That the Nightmare Realm seemingly held a great many mysterious things was no secret to begin with.
Wasn't that precisely why the Nightmare Realm was so enigmatic, making people fear it and yearn for it at the same time?
Angel was
