Was this rumor about the Dragon God Mark true?

But one thing was certain: every Mirror Dragon bearing a Dragon God Mark possessed an extraordinarily special ability.
Laplace even believed that the formation of a Dragon God Mark was actually the spillover effect of a special ability.
Mystic Dragon was one such bearer of the Dragon God Mark. Moreover, after the Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon became the acting Dragon God, it was the first bearer of a Dragon God Mark to be born in the Hundred Dragons Divine Kingdom.
For that reason, the Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon valued Mystic Dragon greatly and devoted considerable effort to nurturing it.
Yet Mystic Dragon differed from previous bearers of the Dragon God Mark. No matter how the Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon cultivated it, it received very little in return.
Even the new generation of Dragon God Mark bearers born after Mystic Dragon had been nurtured by the Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon into solid pillars of the Hundred Dragons Divine Kingdom, while Mystic Dragon remained utterly ordinary.
Its sole virtue was that it learned quickly and could absorb and integrate all kinds of knowledge with remarkable speed. Yet it simply could not turn that knowledge into the power to protect.
