Just as their conversation was in full swing, Laplace suddenly stopped speaking and looked into the distance.
A noticeably shrunken Black-Scaled Cave Dragon was watching them from nearby.
When it saw Laplace's gaze turn toward it, the Black-Scaled Cave Dragon immediately stepped forward and said respectfully, "Honored guests, we meet again."
The newcomer... no, the new dragon was their old acquaintance, Kuntela.
Laplace gave a slight nod in return.
Angel asked curiously, "What are you doing here?"
Kuntela said, "By Lord Eya's orders, I have been waiting here for you two."
"Lord Eya already knew we were coming?" Angel looked around curiously. If the Mystic Dragon had noticed their arrival, did that mean he was nearby?
Seeing this, Kuntela shook its head. "No, Lord Eya is still meeting with the Astrologer Granny inside the outpost. I have been waiting here since much earlier."
Angel nodded in understanding. "Then you must have noticed us as soon as we arrived on this level?"
Kuntela nodded.
It had indeed spotted them from the very beginning.
The reason Kuntela had not immediately come forward to greet them was that, after Laplace left the jumping-level staircase, she had immediately used the power of a barrier, and her gaze had met Angel's.
Kuntela instantly understood that she and Angel were likely discussing something in private.
A conversation deliberately concealed behind a barrier had to be important. Under such circumstances, Kuntela naturally did not dare disturb them.
Only when Laplace looked toward it did it understand and come forward.
Hearing that Kuntela had been waiting for quite some time, Angel felt somewhat embarrassed and hurriedly said, "Then I'll have to trouble Mr. Kuntela to lead the way."
Kuntela had also been worried that they might come to this level and wander off to browse other shops first.
