"Why... did you track me down?"
Although Parrot had received the memory gleam and learned how Angel and the others had tracked him here, the memory gleam had not explained why they had been looking for him.
There had to have been some opportunity that prompted them to come looking for him.
"Was it because you discovered someone was impersonating Luigi?" Parrot asked softly.
Angel said, "Someone impersonating Luigi was one of the reasons we tracked them here. But we came looking for you because of something else."
Parrot asked, "What is it?"
The moment Parrot finished speaking, before Angel could answer, a cold voice came from nearby. "Are you talking to someone?"
Parrot whipped around, only to see that the Mirror Ghost had somehow emerged from behind the curtain.
It stared fixedly at him inside the glass sphere.
From the miniature perspective within the glass sphere, the Mirror Ghost outside looked like the difference between a giant and a grain of sand. The oppressive sensation left Parrot deeply uneasy.
Of course, another reason for his unease was his fear that if the Mirror Ghost discovered Angel and Laplace, they too would be imprisoned.
Though he had just mocked the "Blood Sovereign," as someone who had dealt with Mirror Ghosts before, he knew very well how powerful the Blood Sovereign was.
The other party might not possess formidable combat strength, but it had bizarre, extraordinary abilities.
Those abilities were impossible to guard against, because... this was the deterrent force of the Dark Mirror Domain.
"When did you come out?" Parrot spoke as he shifted slightly, trying to block Angel behind him. Though he knew it was basically useless, it was merely an instinctive action.
The Mirror Ghost gave Parrot a long, deep look. "When you started talking to yourself."
