Travel through the Consciousness Void was incredibly fast. Measured by outside time, they had reached their destination—the Silver Forest Space—in practically the blink of an eye.
Accompanied by a faint sensation of weightlessness, Angel felt himself fall out of the Consciousness Void, plummeting continuously as though he were falling from a higher-dimensional world.
Until... he abruptly opened his eyes.
The scent of the forest filled his nostrils. The ground beneath his feet was no longer insubstantial, and Angel could sense the fluctuations of energy around him.
That disjointed sense of time from within the Consciousness Void had also vanished.
Without a doubt, he was back.
Angel looked around. He was still on the grassland of the Silver Forest Space, and there was nothing unusual about his body, so he pushed himself up from the soft ground.
Once Angel had steadied himself, just as he was about to look for Laplace, a crisp voice suddenly rang out from nearby.
"Would you like to come have a cup of tea?"
Angel turned back and saw that the speaker was a "Laplace" dressed in a black-and-red gown. Her hair was dark purple, and one of her eyes was black while the other was red, giving her a distinctly Gothic air.
Angel knew her. She was Luigi's nemesis, as well as a special existence among all of Laplace's clones—the Divine Blood Clone.
The Divine Blood Clone was currently seated beside the dancing long table, holding a cup of steaming hot tea.
Angel had intended to decline, but before he could speak, he heard a rustling sound beside him.
When he turned to look, he discovered that Laplace was walking toward the long table. As she passed him, Laplace said softly, "Come over and chat. The Scarlet Lantern Demon Queen has provided some interesting information."
