Hearing Angel's question, Laplace pondered for a moment before saying, "I'm not very familiar with Level 4 treasures of the Crystal Shell type. I have, however, heard of some secret tomes and treasures."
"But I've only heard of them; I've never seen the actual items. And what I heard may not be entirely true."
Angel said, "I understand that. Rumors have always mixed truth with falsehood. It doesn't matter—we're only using them as a reference."
Laplace nodded. "Then I'll speak plainly."
With that, Laplace turned to the crystal screen. "Number 20, Chronicle in the Mirror, is said to be a series of books formed from the original mirror surface of a special Mirror Ghost that had wandered through multiple Mirror Realms after it was killed. It records the cultures, ecosystems, and general rules of different Mirror Realms."
"Rumor has it that Chronicle in the Mirror contains more than ten volumes. In other words, it records the relevant background of at least ten Mirror Realms."
Angel said, "So, in other words, it's like local chronicles for places such as the Day Mirror Domain and the Gosen Mirror Domain?"
Laplace nodded. "You could understand it that way."
Angel raised a brow. "Then this book probably isn't worth much."
For Mirror Realm lifeforms, it was difficult to learn about other Mirror Realms. That was precisely why Chronicle in the Mirror was such an important source of intelligence to them.
But for Laplace, whose true body floated in the Empty Mirror Sea year-round, the Sea Eye of the Empty Mirror Sea connected to every world, including other Mirror Realms.
Laplace could not only learn intelligence about other Mirror Realms, but could even directly obtain items from them. That was far better than something like Chronicle in the Mirror, which merely recorded things on paper.
