The path ahead turned.
What emerged was another deep, pitch-black corridor.
Angel swept his gaze around and spotted a marked mirror belonging to the Crystal-Eyed Race nearby. He stepped forward, preparing to activate the lights.
But before Angel could reach out and touch it—

Like scenes from horror movies on the Holographic Tablet, shifting light and darkness flickered in his eyes.
And at the end where light met shadow, a figure emerged.
No, she did not exactly "walk" out. She "floated" out.
At the end of the corridor stood a girl with heterochromatic eyes. Her long silver hair had been woven into a pair of wings behind her back, and with a flutter of those wings, she flashed forward like a phantom.
In the span of a single second, she crossed a hundred meters and appeared before Angel.
"You... move like that?" Angel silently asked through the Mind Tether as he looked at her.
"Yes. It doesn't take much effort anyway."
Angel: "..."
She had said earlier that she was still four or five corridors away from him, yet he had merely turned a corner and run into her. Now Angel understood. At her "flashing" speed, even from the outer edge of the graveyard, she could probably reach the main burial chamber in mere seconds.
Without question, the newcomer was Laplace.
Angel shook his head, casting aside those irrelevant thoughts. "Were you also teleported separately?"
Laplace withdrew the silver hair that had transformed into wings, and her toes touched the ground. "More or less. But two of my maze guards were teleported with me as well, to somewhere ten corridors away from
