Angel still remembered that when the Void Shadow Clone had recounted Xiluda's experiences, it had mentioned that when Xiluda first entered Knight Castle, she had ignored the choice offered by the tailcoat-wearing butler. Instead, she had gone around him and searched the hall.
After rummaging through the place, Xiluda had obtained a rope, a flower, and a cup. All three were special sacrificial offerings used in rituals.
At the time, after obtaining those items, Xiluda had not triggered the "Spirit-Transference Ritual."
Could those three items have been ownerless?
Obviously not.
Those objects had been placed in the hall, so they certainly had owners. Their owner was most likely the Evil Spirit Knight of the castle.
Then why had Xiluda not triggered the Spirit-Transference Ritual when she took those three items?
Could this have been a scheme to lure the enemy into the jar?
They had deliberately let Xiluda gain a few benefits first, lowering her guard?
"You look troubled. Are you worried about Gleipnir's divination?"
As Angel pondered, Laplace's voice came from beside him.
Angel said, "It has nothing to do with the divination. I just noticed something very strange."

These NPCs' conversations, or their mutterings to themselves, might sometimes be unimportant. But some of them could very likely reveal secrets of the castle.
