No wonder this crystal puppet had behaved so lively—it was being controlled by a member of the Head-Mirror Race.
The true forms of the Head-Mirror Race were all specks of conscious light. When out and about, they usually acted by attaching themselves to communal bodies... What Angel had not expected was that the Head-Mirror Race could even attach themselves to crystal puppets.
"It is also an honor for our Head-Mirror Race to serve a master craftsman." After saying this, the crystal puppet placed a hand over its chest in salute and withdrew.
Angel and Laplace took seats by the window.
Before long, two cups of steaming hot black tea were brought over.
Laplace took a sip of the tea. It was somewhat bitter.
She picked up the tea tray on the table, used a teaspoon to add a little crushed jasmine to her cup, then tucked a sliced orange into the notch of the teacup.
The sweet-and-sour orange juice flowed into the cup, mellowing its original bitterness. Combined with the fragrance of jasmine and the soothing warmth, it made one feel as though they could see the rosy clouds of dusk.
Laplace took another satisfied sip before saying, "Tewari Realm. Obsession Bearers."
Angel was not nearly as particular as Laplace. He did not even add milk, merely gulping down a cup of bitter black tea.
As the cup fell empty, he heard Laplace's voice.
Tewari Realm? Obsession Bearers? Angel paused for two seconds. "What are those?"
Laplace said, "This was intelligence Luigi got from Ms. Moon. Barring any surprises, Napoli came from a world called the Tewari Realm."
"His identity in the Tewari Realm should have been... an Obsession Bearer."
Angel
