Although Laplace still had her doubts, she understood that nothing was absolute. Perhaps this Chaotic Evil Maw truly was the exception.
Just as Angel had said, since the Scarlet Lantern Demon Queen had allowed the Chaotic Evil Maw in, she could not have done so without reason.
They would know if they kept watching.
With that thought in mind, Laplace silently watched the scene on the screen.
Yet five minutes passed, and the image did not change at all, as though it had frozen.
Laplace looked at Angel in confusion.
Angel said, "...Gabriel stopped on his own."
Gabriel floated through the dark corridor, but after drifting to a certain spot, it abruptly stopped, and the entire image froze there.
It was as though someone had pressed a time-stop button on Gabriel.
So it was not the image that had frozen. Gabriel had chosen to stop.
To prove that this was not a "paused image," Angel zoomed in and carefully focused on the spikes covering Gabriel's body.
More precisely, the tiny fuzz growing upon those spikes.
Those fuzz strands were all Gabriel's light-sensitive organs. They were extremely soft and fine; even though Gabriel had stopped in place, they continued working, swaying ceaselessly up and down.
Their movement also proved that the image had not frozen.
"What is it doing now?" Laplace could not make sense of Gabriel's actions.
Angel shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure either. I intercepted part of the Wonderland information stream in the corridor, and can only confirm that this corridor is the so-called 'Silent Corridor.'"
The Trial Wonderland Gabriel was currently challenging belonged to a chained Instance type. It was presently in the first link: Silent Palace—Silent Corridor.
A thoughtful look appeared in Laplace's eyes. "So Gabriel is undergoing a trial challenge right now?"
Angel nodded.
Laplace asked,
